Get Out: Five Ideas For Your Weekend

Jazz, metal, broadway or pop? The choice is yours this weekend.

From a beloved band led by Rivers to an Ozzy documentary at the River, this weekend is going to rock.

Why Go: This film by writer and director Rashaad Ernesto Green, was a finalist for the esteemed Jury Award at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Star Esai Morales ("La Bamba," "Caprica") will participate in a live Q&A with the lucky audience after the film.

Why Go:  The band behind hits such as "Buddy Holly," "Undone - The Sweater Song", "Island in the Sun" and "Beverly Hills" will perform live.

When/Where: This Saturday and Sunday at the Idyllwild Arts Academy, 52500 Temecula Road, Idyllwild

Why Go: This two-day festival will offer over 25 live jazz performances at three outdoor venues plus winding pathways lined with various arts and crafts booths, "Dine in the Pines" food vendors and sponsor and informational booths. Proceeds will benefit Idyllwild Arts Academy and Summer Arts Program.

Pricing: $65 per day, $120 for both days, children younger than 12 get in free if accompanied by a paying adult

Why Go: Make your weekend a little longer with this Monday movie event. The story of Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne's life is told through the eyes of his son, Jack. This documentary is packed with never-before-seen Black Sabbath footage and recent solo tour clips plus stories from fellow musicians such as Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and of course, the Osbourne family.

Pricing: Around $10.50-12.50
