GET PREPARED: Free Disaster Readiness Workshop in Palm Desert

The free event will be held today, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and will offer up lunch to guests.

The American Red Cross will offer a free disaster preparedness workshop in Palm Desert today.

The workshop, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 39-665 Entrepreneur Lane, Suite A, will be hosted by KESQ Channel 3 anchor Karen Devine.

Information will be presented about how to be ready for storms, floods, fires, earthquakes and other disasters, according to organizers.

Lunch will be provided for participants.
