Gusty Winds Return

A wind advisory was issued Monday for the Palm Desert area, with gusts up to 55 mph expected, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory was in effect through 10 p.m., the weather service reported.

Wind speeds from 25 to 35 mph were expected, according to the NWS.

The winds should subside overnight.

Visibility may be decreased along Interstate 10 because of blowing dust and sand, according to the NWS.

Motorists should be on the look out for the possibility of broken tree limbs and down power lines, forecasters warned.
