High Wind Watch Extended Through Saturday Morning
The second storm this week has high winds and rain on tap for start of the first weekend of Coachella.
A strong storm system is ready to blow into the desert as the annual Coachella Music Festival gets underway.
The National Weather Service has extended a high wind watch for the Coachella Valley from thorugh 5:00 a.m. Saturday. Winds will be up to 45 miles per hour with gusts of up to 75 possible.
This second system is considerably stronger than the storm that passed through the desert on Tuesday and Wednesday, leaving minimal precipitation.

Rain is expected from Friday evening into Saturday, with about .30 inches expected as Coachella opening weekend hits Indio.
