Amanda Lasby, 25, of Palm Desert has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, assaulting a child causing great bodily injury and willful child cruelty stemming from her daughter's March 30, 2011 death.

Lasby was arrested Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at a home on Ocotillo Drive near Grapevine Street in Palm Desert after a coroner's report showed the child’s injuries were consistent with abuse, said Sgt. Mike Lujan of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
