Palm Desert Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash
Accident near Salton City claims life of a local resident.
An 81-year-old Palm Desert man died when he lost control and was thrown from his motorcycle on a curve on County Road S22 near Salton City, according to the coroner's office.
The crash was about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, a little more than two miles
east of the Imperial County line.
Pete Allen was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs,
where he was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m., according to the coroner.
