Palm Desert Patch Editor Weds
Jessica Davis and Peter Smelser met while attending Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash.
It's a match made in journalism heaven -- that's according to Palm Desert Patch's .
Davis married Peter Smelser, who works as a news producer at KPSP Local 2, Sunday, Aug. 28 at Zion Lutheran Church in Anaheim, which is close to where she attended high school at Orange Lutheran.
"Peter is not only my best friend, but a big supporter of my work for Patch. We are looking forward to our new life together as we live and work in the Coachella Valley,'' Davis said.

The journalistic duo met when Smelser hired Davis as a news editor on the school's newspaper, The Whitworthian.
By that spring, the pair teamed up on an investigative story about student government. They also worked together on several other in-depth stories that rocked the campus. During that time, they became best friends.

After the last newspaper issue had been put to bed, Peter finally got up the courage to ask Jessica out in April 2006. And they've been together ever since.
