Palm Desert Woman Sentenced to Three Years Probabtion

Vanesa Mihajson was convicted of helping her twin brother hide from authorities after allegedly killing a woman in a drug deal scam.

A Palm Desert woman was sentenced Thursday to three years of probation for helping her twin brother elude authorities after he allegedly killed a woman to steal $7,500 in a supposed drug deal.

Vanesa Michelle Mihajson, 23, was also ordered to serve 120 hours of
community service for being an accessory to a felony in the October 2007
slaying of 36-year-old Shalonda Morris. A Palm Springs jury on
Oct. 4. 

Her twin, Sean Michael Mihajson, is awaiting trial on a first-degree
murder charge. He is accused of killing Morris to steal $7,500 cash that she
planned to use to buy a pound of marijuana from him.

Mihajson could have received up to a year in jail, but Riverside County
Superior Court Judge Graham A. Cribbs said she had already served at least 240
days in prison.
