Paving work on Cook Street and Country Club Drive in Palm Desert was expected to delay traffic starting Wednesday.
The project will extend into the intersection and will impact westbound traffic on Country Club Drive, according to city spokesman David Hermann.
Traffic will be allowed in all directions, but motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Monterey Avenue, Hermann said.
