Rain In Forecast For Palm Desert

Saturday's low will be in the 40s, according to the National Weather Service.

Palm Desert residents can expect a good chance of rain Friday night and into Saturday thanks to a strong Pacific storm, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday's high will be around 62 degrees with a low in the high 40s, the NWS reported.

The Coachella Valley could get as much as .25 to an inch of rain from the strom, which arrived late Friday afternoon, according to the weather service.

Those hoping to hit up the local mountains for skiing and snowboarding were asked to take precautions.

"The snow level will start at about 5,500 feet ... lower to about 4,000 feet Saturday morning ... and down to 3,000 feet by Sunday morning,'' the NWS reported.
