Roadwork Continues On Portola Avenue
Workers are improving the intersection of Portola Avenue and Frank Sinatra Drive in Palm Desert.
Work on an intersection at Portola Avenue and Frank Sinatra Drive continued today wih the installation of traffic signals and improved drainage, a city spokesman said.
The project will also widen Portola Avenue near the intersection, according to city spokesman David Hermann.
Workers will be grinding and paving Monday through Thursday, Hermann said.

The traffic signal at the intersection is expected to be operating by mid-November.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes such as Monterey Avenue.
