According to TMZ.com, a man in the Aurora, Colorado theater when a shooter opened fire, killing 12 and injuring 59, has hired a Beverly Hills attorney to file the first lawsuit from the Friday shooting spree.
Torrence Brown, Jr. has hired attorney Donald Karpel for a lawsuit targeting three defendants: The Century 16 theater for not having a guarded or alarmed emergency door; the doctors of alleged shooter James Holmes, who is believed to be on several medications prescribed by different doctors and not be under medical supervision; and Warner Bros., makers of "The Dark Knight Rises". Karpel claims the shooting mimicked some of the more violent parts of the film.
Brown saw a friend shot and killed during the tragedy. Though not physically injured during the incident, Brown is claiming he suffers from extreme trauma.
