Temps Reach Back To Triple Digits

Following a few days of unusually low highs, forecasters warn of temperatures in the low 100s.

Following a few days of record-setting low highs, the Palm Desert area will see a return of triple digit temperatures, forecasters warned.

Saturday's high was expected to be up to 102 degrees, with an overnight low of 72 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures could be as high as 105 degrees by Sunday, with a low of 76, the weather service reported.

Monday will be even hotter, with a high of 106, forecasters warned.

Earlier this week, temperatures stayed in the high 90s, which is unseasonably cool for the Coachella Valley in July.
