In a busy news week, here's a recap of Patch stories you may have missed.

With much of the past week dedicated to the intense manhunt for quadruple murder suspect Christopher Dorner, it's no wonder most of the top stories this week on Patch had to do with the case.

Though the majority of the top stories had to do with Dorner, there were some other popular stories here on Palm Desert Patch.

Just in case you missed them this week, here are our Top Five stories.

  • Mistaken Identity: Palm Springs Police Swarm Dental Office in Chris Dorner Search
  • Police: Alleged DUI Driver Found Asleep at Wheel After Crashing

You send out the five top news stories to me today and of the top five, not a mention of the police murder in Indio? Really? I'd think that would be number one! And you list a 2 acre fire as being of keen interest? Or best mom contest? Who is doing the editing there?

@vic: the patch as well as the other worthless rag, the desert sun promote mediocrity to boost ratings i.e. high school sports results, golf tourney, new cool ranch doritos, best mom of the desert etc. but perhaps this is a reflection of people's mentality here in the desert -uneducated, unsophisticated, silly simpletons etc. would be nice to have real news source in the valley. when you find one then please let me know
