TRAFFIC ALERT: Caltrans Has Several Road Closures Planned throughout the Week

Closures are scheduled on State Routes 62 and 74 and on Interstate 10.

Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol announced the closure of several lanes along number of roads in and around the Coachella Valley while crews work on various projects.

Today through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. State Route 62 will be down to one lane from the San Bernardino/Riverside County line to N. Indian Canyon Drive. Crews will be conducting utility work. Minor delays and slowing traffic should be expected, CHP officials said.

Starting Wednesday (Mach 21) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on State Route 74, Caltrans is scheduled to have the roadway down to one lane between Ribbonwood and Pinyon drives for slide control work, according to the CHP.  Moderate delays should be expected, motorists must also watch for stopping traffic approaching the construction zone, officials said.

Starting Friday (March 23) into Saturday on the eastbound Interstate 10, Caltrans is scheduled to close the No. 3 and 4 slow lanes closed between Gene Autry Trail and Bob Hope Drive.  On Friday night, the lane closures are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday Morning.  On Saturday and Sunday nights, the closures are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday.  Motorists traveling eastbound are cautioned to watch for large trucks and vehicles towing trailers merging to the left and should expect minor delays, CHP officials said.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Dorothy you actually believe criminals can't get guns without a background check. Wow are youRead More naive. Just because YOU don't understand why some people want a particular weapon...does not mean you can impose your ownership standards on someone else. Suppose I suggest you don't need the particular car you drive or the particlar beverage you drink? I see you are opposed to hunting. How do you feel about abortion? Typical liberal double standard at play here??

Totally agree. This is just the beginning of a gun grab. All it will accomplish is furtherRead More restrictions on law abiding citizens. Chicago is a perfect example. Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
