TRAFFIC ALERT: Indian Canyon Back Open, Gene Autry Remains Closed
Recent sand storms have left their marks on Valley roadways.
At least one major Valley thoroughfare has reopened to drivers in time for Tuesday's commute home, police announced.
North Indian Canyon Drive reopened Tuesday in both directions after being closed since Sunday due to blowing sand that led to driving conditions police described as "dangerous."
Gene Autry Trail, closed Sunday for the same reason, will likely stay closed through Wednesday.

Motorists are asked to use Date Palm Drive, Ramon and Tipton roads, North Indian Canyon and Highway 111 as alternate routes.
