Triple Digit Temps Expected For Coachella Weekend

High heat returns to the valley after cold and storms last weekend.

Temperatures are expected to reach 100 degrees this weekend during the second installment of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

This weekend's National Weather Service forecast is closer to typical
weather for the festival, with a high of 100 degrees predicted for tomorrow,
101 for Saturday and 102 for Sunday. No special warnings had been issued as of this morning for the Indio area.

Last weekend, the festival opened under unusually chilly and stormy skies. Temperatures dropped to near freezing on Friday night and winds gusted
to about 30 mph. A storm brought rain over the Coachella Valley and dropped
snow on the nearby mountains.
