Triple Digit Temperatures In Store For Father's Day Weekend

Temperatures in the low 100s and high 90s were expected this Father's Day weekend.

The mercury will reach the century mark Saturday in the Palm Desert area, but fall to the upper 90s by Father's Day, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday's high is expected to be 100 degrees with an overnight low of 69 degrees, the weather service reported.

Sunday will be slightly cooler with a high of 97 degrees and a low of 70, according to the NWS.

Temps will rise again on Monday to the triple digits, forecasters said.
