Thursday and Saturday Morning Guided Hikes

January 2 through April 26, 2014
9 am to 11:30 am

Friends volunteers lead guided hikes on the Randall Henderson and Art Smith Trails. Hike leaders will discuss the plants, animals, geology, and cultural history of the Coachella Valley. Hikers may see bighorn sheep, desert tortoises, and spring wildflowers.

Location: Hikes depart from the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument Visitor Center.

Hikes are rated easy to moderate, and are approximately 2-4 miles round trip. Bring at least two liters of water, sun protection, and wear appropriate attire, including closed toe shoes.
