CSUSB Palm Desert Student Receives Veteran Scholarship

Jason Curodeau plans to become an elementary teacher after graduation

Jason Curodeau, an integrated studies major at Cal State San Bernardino’s Palm Desert Campus has received an $1,000 scholarship from a local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. 

VFW Post 10149, of Cathedral City, selected Curodeau for his high scholarly achievements and his family’s contributions to the military.  Curodeau’s father Paul is a Vietnam War veteran, serving as a U.S. Navy medical corpsman assigned to the 2nd U.S. Marine Division. 

Jason’s goal is to become an elementary school teacher.

According to CSUSB spokesman Mike Singer, the VFW post is establishing a scholarship fund to give $1,000 annually to CSUSB students who are veterans that served in foreign conflicts or are children of veterans that did the same.
