A Palm Desert-based Shetland Sheepdog named O'Shea earned the title of Master Agility Champion 8 at the Samoyed Club of America agility trial in Simi Valley on Sunday, O'Shea's owner said Tuesday.
"O'Shea is an eight year old Sheltie that has earned many awards and titles but we believe that she is the only dog in the Coachella Valley area to have reached MACH 8," Gina Edwards of Palm Desert said in an email. "This is the American Kennel Club's highest agility title."
The photo on Palm Desert PAtch's home page shows O'Shea and Edwards at home on Monday Oct. 21.
