Local Attorney Sentenced to Prison
Warren Camp to spend 4 months in prison and pay fine
Palm Desert attorney Warren David Camp, 47, has been sentenced to four months in prison and fined $10,000 for making false statements to obtain a U.S. Passport. The sentence was handed down Monday in U.S. District Court.
Camp, a Canadian Citizen, pled guilty on April 23rd to making false statements on the passport application. He used a fake California ID and the Social Security number of another lawyer on the August 2009 application, according to a g.
Camp originally faced charges of identity theft, swearing a false oath and falsifying a federal document. Under a plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney's Office, all but the one count was dropped.

The State Bar indicates Camp has been practicing family law since 1991.
