Aborting my mission, for now

This is in honor of my mommy, who did it all, without so much as one sigh, one roll of the eyes, or one tear. That crazy lady!

So much for trying to conquer the world. I think today I'll just try to conquer the rest of my Friday! It feels like a million years have passed since my first blog, and that was only 2 days ago!!!

So, as I said in my first blog, the "boy" (Yes, that's actually how we refer to him at home as our pet name for him, ha ha) is attending PDHS prom this year. He's only a Sophmore, but was asked by a Senior. So, obviously he doesn't have a job, nor a car, so who's doing all the running around and shopping and planning for him? You guessed it! The guy next door! Yeah right! I wish!! Super Mom is, of course! In case you didn't know, that would be me!

My day consisted of (this is just yesterday, by the way) working full time, running home to pick up the boy, run to Indio to try on tux and shoes, find a flower shop, hit the bank, run back home to pick up the girl, run to Big Leagues to watch my BFF's son play little league baseball, which was cancelled by the way since the other team didn't show, sat there for a while to watch them scrimmage against each other, run home, make dinner for my husband who was on his way home, yes - dinner at 9 pm! Clean out a dirty fan, call my mom, call my sister, feed the husband when he got home, patted the kids heads goodnight, watched a few shows, and when I least suspected it, it was already 1 am!!

Somewhere in there, somewhere in my life, I used to have time for a brief second to get a pedicure, or manicure, or hit the gym. Or, even better, I was able to watch my actual shows when they were on rather than having to DVR them and watch them later!

So, for now, I'll conquer today. Tomorrow will finally end the craziness of prom, and Sunday I can spend a moment or two with my mommy and sister and of course my beautiful family. Let's conquer surviving the weekend, and then we'll rethink conquering the world!

And people wonder why mommy's can multi-task...... HA!
