Scott Hennessee to join KXPS

Former local TV sports anchor moves to the radio side for daily sports talk show

Former channel 2 sports anchor Scott Hennessee won't have to be wearing a jacket and tie for his new media job.

Hennessee will be joining Team 1010 KXPS radio on August 7th for "The Scott Hennessee Show", the latest local sports talk addition to the station.

"Scott has a great passion the Coachella Valley, and enjoys covering Southern California teams" said Team 1010 Program Director Brian Jewett. "He is a true professional, and we look forward to having him on board."

Scott will be joined by his dad for some added perspective. "I'm so excited to talk sports with my dad every day," Scott said. "I mean, we talk sports most days anyway. The only difference is now we'll be using microphones instead of telephones to communicate. I plan to have a lot of fun with the show, and hopefully the listeners will, too."

The addition of Hennessee in the 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. slot shakes up the afternoon lineup on the sports talk station.
