Wig shop donates $5,000 worth of wigs to Lucy Curci Cancer Center

Diane Kaiser, owner of Today's Tresses Wig Boutique in Palm Desert has a basic philosophy about community.

"I was always taught growing up to give back to your community in any way you were able to," Kaiser said.

That's part of the reason Today's Tresses recently donated $5,000 worth of new high-quality wigs to the Lucy Curci Cancer Center at Eisenhower Medical Center.

"Some are able to donate money and write big checks, others are able to make items by hand to donate, and others like me are able to donate items from their business," Kaiser said.  "It's our turn to give back in some small way to those individuals who are struggling with a cancer diagnosis.  Many of our customers are cancer survivors, and it really gives me a terrific feeling to know we are helping them."

"To have a gift of this quality is really extraordinary and the generoisty of Today's Tresses is greatly appreciated," said Alison Mayer Sachs, Community Outreach and Patient Support Services Director of Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center.  "What Today's Tresses has done by giving us these beautiful human hair wigs is to allow women to look in the mirror and feel good about themselves."
