Mecca Festival Review

Techno Music, lights and art!

Arriving on Saturday for the Mecca Festival, the venue was at Sunset Ranch Oasis a little tucked in area in the middle of the desert. The wind and dust were definitely putting a damper on things for vendors and attendees.

This festival reminded me of Electric Daisy Carnival along with a slew of other electronic/dubstep themed festivals. The music was definitely up and coming  fusing Latin, reggae, and techno together.

There was also collaborative live art installations from street art to performance art. The tapestry of colors and lights swirled into the night sky. If one enjoys techno music, then they will  probably enjoy this small growing  festival, if not  it is probably best to just stay home.

Overall, the growing grass roots festival was definitely something different to have in the valley. *Check Kaleb Welch's blog for photos of the festival
