Coroner ID's Body Found Near I-10 As Part-time Valley Resident, No Foul Play Suspected

A body which was found near Interstate 10 this week has been identified as a man who lived in Palm Springs part-time, according to the Riverside County Coroner's office.

The man-- whose name still isn't being released until family members are notified-- lived in Hollywood and Palm Springs, according a coroner's report released Tuesday.

He was 44-years-old, and was discovered lying on the south side of the eastbound I-10 lanes, near Highway 62, reports indicate.

Palm Desert sheriff's deputies are investigating the death, but at this time, murder is not suspected.

"There were no signs of foul play located at the scene," said sheriff's Sergeant Tom Brewster.  "The investigation is ongoing."
