Alleged Robber Due In Court Next Week

The Palm Desert man is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

A Palm Desert resident accused of hitting a man with a rock during a robbery was due in court next week.

Quinton Gray, 51, pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of robbery, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon.

Gray is accused in March 9 break-in at a residence in the 67800 block of Clubhouse Drive in Desert Hot Springs.

Gray also faces a sentence-enhancing allegation because he has served prison time for a prior burglary, according to the prosecution.

He is being held in custody in lieu of $1 million bail pending his next court appearance on March 22.

The victim was treated for his injuries at a hospital, then released, according to Desert Hot Springs police.
