Armed Robbers Hit El Paseo Store

Ed's Coins is robbed by two gunmen; unknown amount taken

Palm Desert Police continue to look for the two men that robbed a El Paseo coin shop on Wednesday afternoon, taking cash and jewelry.

At about 2:10 p.m., two men entered Ed's Coins, in the 72000 block of El Paseo, in the Palm to Pines Shopping Center.   The two men brandished firearms, and robbed the one employee in the store, before fleeing a red Nissan Sentra, according to Sergeant Tom Brewster.

The two robbers are described as:

  • Suspect #1 was described as a black male, 5'-10", medium build, wearing dark clothing, and armed with a handgun.
  • Suspect #2 was described as a black male, 5'-4", thick build, wearing a dark shirt and red gym shorts, and armed with a rifle.

Nobody was injured in this incident. Palm Desert investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.  Suerviallance video from the store is being reviewed.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Investigator Isaac White by calling the Palm Desert Station at 760-836-1600  or by calling Crime Stoppers at 760-341-STOP

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
