Bermuda Dunes Man Hit While Walking, Driver Takes Off

Police are looking for the person driving an SUV that struck the man Wednesday.

A 51-year-old Bermuda Dunes man was struck Wednesday by an SUV, the driver of which fled the scene.

Larry Morris was walking east on the north shoulder of Country Club Drive, east of Adams Street, about 3:45 a.m. when a green, 1990s-model Ford Explorer drifted onto the shoulder for unknown reasons and struck him, California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Radford said.

The motorist drove off, and Morris was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries, Radford said.

He said the Explorer may have damage to the right front side. Anyone with information was asked to contact the CHP at (760) 772-8911.

OR....someone with a wife and children-JUST LIKE YOU, getting up early to cook for you, or clean your streets or any of a hundred other jobs you would not deign to perform. What is the point of your judgment on what his occupation is?
