A 23-year-old Palm Desert man was free on $2,500 bail Monday following his weekend arrest in connection to a suspected DUI crash in which his vehicle landed just inches away from a building on Highway 111, according to police and jail reports.
Emilio Angulo was arrested Saturday following the crash on Highway 111 at Parkview Drive, according to Sheriff's Sergeant Ken Black.
Angulo about 3:30 a.m. allegedly failed to negotiate a turn from Highway 111 to Parkway Drive and drove onto the sidewalk and down the embankment, sheriff's Sgt. Ken Black reported.
Palm Desert police officers found the his Honda sedan a few inches away from a commercial building at the southwest corner of the intersection, Black said.
