UPDATE: Crews Stop Brush Fire South of Palm Desert

Fire near Highway 74 is put down quickly by CALFIRE crews.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out a brush fire early this afternoon in the hills south of Palm Desert.  

The fire, near Highway 74 and Carrizo Road, south of Vista Point was contained within 90 minutes of being reported and held to just two acres of sparse brush.

According to CALFIRE, two air drops assisted the crews in quickly containing the blaze.

No injuries were reported, and no buildings were threatened.
