CHP Kicks Off Toy Drive Today

The California Highway Patrol collects toys for needy children under the age of 14 every year in the Coachella Valley.

The California Highway Patrol's Indio Office kicked off their annual "CHiPs for Kids" toy drive Friday.

CHP Officers will pass out the toys on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year, according to CHP Officer Joe Zagorski.

Anyone wishing to donate a new unwrapped toy can visit any of the , , or Red Robin restaurants here in the valley.

Toys can also be dropped of at KESQ’s studios located in Palm Desert or KPLM’s office located in Palm Springs. 

The last day to donate will be Dec. 18. All toys will benefit needy families and children here in the Coachella Valley.
