COD Athlete Accused in Stabbing Due in Court

Jamie Edward Smith, 19, is accused of stabbing another football player from College of the Desert.

A College of the Desert football player who just transferred to the school is set for arraignment Wednesday on an assault charge for allegedly stabbing another player.

Jamie Edward Smith remained behind bars today in lieu of $25,000 bail, booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm.

Smith was arrested Thursday following the in the 77700 block of Country Club Drive.

I…Read More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Totally agree. This is just the beginning of a gun grab. All it will accomplish is further…Read More restrictions on law abiding citizens. Chicago is a perfect example. Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
