Deputies Arrest 1 Suspected DUI Driver in Palm Desert

The checkpoint was staffed Friday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday on Hwy. 111 -- east of Desert Crossings -- according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt Dave Adams.

Sheriff’s deputies staffing a checkpoint in Palm Desert arrested one motorist suspected of DUI; another 14 drivers were taken into custody for alleged driver license violations.

The checkpoint was staffed Friday from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday on Hwy. 111 -- east of Desert Crossings -- according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt Dave Adams.

Deputies seized six vehicles as well.

Funding for the operation came from the state Office of Traffic Safety.

What a big waste of money. 1 Dui driver. Come on Cops!! Just wait outside The Hood or Catus Jack's or The Red Barn. Maybe that's why they're closing the COD training of you Cops. It's Common sense, "that" they can't teach. Did 7-11 and John's provide the coffee and donuts for you guys, that night?
