A 49-year-old Rancho Mirage man suspected of a DUI crash – hurting only himself -- was out of jail on bond Sunday for $2,500, pending a future court appearance.
Mohender Narula was booked into the Indio Jail early Sunday on suspicion of DUI with a .08 or more blood alcohol level, according to sheriff’s jail records.
He was released later that day and ordered to appear in court July 20, records show.
Narula is suspected of causing the crash of his Jaguar into a parked vehicle at the Versailles Community – Paris Way and Cartier Court -- in Rancho Mirage.
Security guards at the gate spotted the crash – it happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday -- and called sheriff's deputies from Palm Desert, Riverside County Sgt Dave Eichelt reported.
The Jaguar was totaled and the man was taken to Eisenhower Medical Center for a complaint of pain. He was cleared for booking.
