Deputies Search for Serial Burglar

String of commercial burglaries lead law enforcement on a manhunt

In the past few months, members from the Palm Desert Business District Team have been investigating several commercial burglaries. During these burglaries, name brand sunglasses were taken from seven optometry businesses located within the cities of Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells. Most of these burglaries occurred during evening or night hours.

The suspect in these burglaries is described as a male, approximately 5'-00" to 5'-04" tall with a stocky build.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department-Palm Desert Station is asking for the public's assistance. Anyone with information can call Deputy Julio Oseguera at the Palm Desert Station at 760 836-1664 or Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-Stop (7867).

Additionally, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Palm Desert Station would like to remind all citizens to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity, including any vehicles or persons to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department-Palm Desert Station by calling 911, or calling our dispatch center at (760) 836-3215.
