Indio police officers will operate a DUI and driver's license checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the city Saturday night.
The checkpoint is scheduled from 8 p.m to 2 a.m. Officers will check for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment, and for proper licensing, according to police spokesman Ben Guitron.
The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
