Palm Desert DUI Suspect Crashes Into Parked Vehicle

Police said a 31-year-old was under the influence when he hit a parked pick-up truck.

A 31-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle ran into a parked pick-up truck, sheriff's officials said Monday.

Jeffrey Howe was not injured in the crash, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Sergeant Eichelt.

Eichelt said the crash was reported about 2:15 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Magnesia Falls Drive and Rutledge Way, just east of Portola Avenue.

Howe’s Scion xB reportedly ran into the parked pickup as it traveled westbound on Magnesia Falls Drive. No one else was in the Scion, according to Eichelt.

This guy totaled my work vehicle. It was my only way of getting to work to provide for my family of four. This guy had no remorse at all for his actions and was laughing throughout the process. He was uninsured as well leaving me and my family without any way of replacing our totaled vehicle bc progressive only paid off our loan leaving us with absolutely nothing. So thanks Jeffrey Howe! I hope that beer was worth ruining mine and my families life. I hope you rot in jail.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
