Female Duo Arrested in La Quinta Burglary

Two women suspected of breaking into an upscale La Quinta home last month have posted bail following their arrests, records showed this weekend.

Sheriff's authorities investigating the March 19 burglary of a home at the La Quinta Cove development served search warrants Thursday night two La Quinta homes, one occupied by Deeana Audrey Sawyer, 35, and the other by Jenna Tewksbury, 28.

They found both women allegedly possessed stolen property and fake checks, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Robert Pickowitz said.

Sawyer and Tewksbury were both booked for suspicion of second degree burglary, forgery and other crimes, and were released Friday after posting $25,000 and $5,000 bail respectively, records showed.
