Firefighters Respond to Reported Structure Fire: Smoke Shows in Garage

The fire was reported at 2:03 p.m. Jan. 25 in the 40600 block of Via Fonda, east of the Plaza de Monterey shopping center, according to Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County.

A contingent of six engines and 24 firefighters responded Friday afternoon to a reported structure fire on Via Fonda in Palm Desert, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

The fire was reported at 2:03 p.m. Jan. 25 in the 40600 block of Via Fonda, east of the Plaza de Monterey shopping center, according to Melody Hendrickson of Cal Fire-Riverside County.

"First arriving engine company reported light smoke showing from the garage," Hendrickson said in a statement.

 Personnel from the Sheriff's Department, Southern California Edison and the Southern California Gas Company also responded, Hendrickson said.

No injuries were reported. The was said to be under investigation.

The neighborhood is just south of Country Club Drive and east of Bob Hope Drive.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
