Five Hospitalized in Palm Desert Wreck

More than two dozen firefighters responded to the scene of the crash.

Five people were injured -- two of them seriously -- in a three-vehicle collision in Palm Desert Friday afternoon.

The crash was reported around 1:40 p.m. on Hovley Lane, east of El Dorado Drive. 

Two of the three vehicles overturned, and the five injured people were transported to hospitals, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman said.

Fire logs indicate a total of 26 firefighters from three engine companies were called out to assist.

Thank you for the report, Renee. We were out on the golf course when the air ambulance was trying to land, and the police had the road closed at Warner & Hovley. Prayers to all involved.
