Free Seminar on Guarding Against Intellectual Property Crimes, Trademark Counterfeiting, Copyright Piracy

Supervisor John Benoit and the Riverside County District Attorney's Office will hold a free seminar Thursday Oct. 3 on guarding against intellectual property crimes, including trademark counterfeiting and copyright piracy.

The 2 p.m. seminar at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino will include presentations from prosecutors and Assemblyman Brian Nestande, R-Palm Desert.

Businesses and members of the public are welcome.

Representatives from local businesses who attend the seminar get free admission to the Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce's business expo, which starts at 4 p.m. at the casino, according to Benoit's office.

Reservations are not needed for the seminar. Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is at 84245 Indio Springs Drive, Indio.
