Home Untouched by Fire in Palm Desert Air Conditioning

The fire was reported at 2:07 p.m. in the 48400 Block Crestview Drive.

An outside air conditioning unit caught fire at a home in unincorporated Palm Desert Saturday but the flames did not reach into the house, Cal Fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 2:07 p.m. in the 48400 block of Crestview Drive, said Cal Fire's Jody Hagemann.

No one was injured in the fire; firefighters remained on scene about an hour to overhaul the unit and ensure no flare-ups occurred, officials said.

Damage was estimated at $3,500 but the save estimate was $1 million.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
