A 61-year-old Indio man suspected of molesting children in his family was arrested this week by police, authorities said.
Filiberto Torres Perez was reportedly booked into the county jail on suspicion of committing lewd acts on a child, following his arrest Thursday in the 43-800 block of Main Street, according to Indio police.
There was no record of his arrest on the sheriff's website or the court public records website Saturday however.
According to officials, the alleged victims are four relatives of the suspect.
The report of molestation was initially made Sept. 8 to the county office of Child Protective Services and alleged that criminal actions took place in the 48-100 block of Jackson Street, where the suspect lives, officials said.
Torres Perez was taken into custody without incident following months of investigation, officials said.
