Jensen's Store in Palm Desert Robbed Overnight

Palm Desert Police are investigating an early morning break-in at in Palm Desert.

About 2:30 a.m., a car backed up to a window of the grocery/deli, where thieves smahed the window and attempted to take an ATM machine that was inside. When the robbers relaized the ATM was securely fastened and would not move, they took an undisclosed amount of money from cash registers.

For Jensen's stores locally, this is a familiar incident.

"We have four locations, and we've seen it at our Rancho Mirage store a couple of times", store owner Mike Zack said.  "Now we use rolling shutters (on windows) and it's stopped. We might have to do that here." 

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Palm Desert Police at 760-836-1600.
