La Quinta Bar Fight Takes A Turn For the Worse With Stabbing

One man was hospitalized in the incident-- and the suspect is still being sought.

A 50-year-old man was stabbed during a fight at a La Quinta bar this week.

The stabbing was reported at 12:30 a.m. Monday near Highway 111 and Washington Street. Two men got into a fight in the business' patio area, and one man stabbed the other and fled in a vehicle, sheriff's Sgt. Randy Vasquez said.

The victim, a La Quinta resident, was transported to a local hospital and his injury wasn't life-threatening, Vasquez said.

The suspect was described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, 210 pounds, with a shaved head and wearing a white T-shirt.
