La Quinta Men Arrested in Connection to Palm Desert Commercial Burglaries

The two men were arrested in connection to a series of burglaries in Palm Desert, La Quinta and Rancho Mirage, according to sheriff's Sgt. Robert Pickowitz.

Two La Quinta men allegedly linked to burglaries in three Coachella Valley cities have upcoming court dates, a sheriff's sergeant said Monday.

John Schiavone, 29, and Nicholas Simons, 23, were arrested when deputies served two search warrants last Thursday in the 52000 block of Avenida Alvarado in La Quinta. The warrants were related to recent commercial burglaries along the Highway 111 business corridor, sheriff's Sgt. Robert Pickowitz said.

"Numerous pieces of stolen property were recovered from the suspects' residences," according to the sergeant, who alleged the items were connected to burglaries in La Quinta, Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage.
