Man, 3 Juveniles Nabbed for Alleged Month-Long Valley Burglary Spree

A man and three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a month-long spree of home burglaries in Coachella, sheriff's authorities reported Sunday.

Sheriff's deputies, La Quinta Police Department and other law enforcement agencies served search warrants and raided four homes in Coachella Friday.

Stolen property and a suspected drug lab was found at one home on Chiapas Drive, prompting authorities to recommend charges be filed against Gilbert Uribe, 51, who was not arrested during the dragnet, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Tim White said.

Three juveniles were arrested for suspicion of burglary, possessing stolen property and other crimes.

Richard Contreras, 23, was arrested at a home on Bagdad Avenue and was later booked for suspicion of receiving stolen property, White said. Contreras posted $15,000 bail and was released from custody Saturday, records showed.
