Man Accused of DUI in Rancho Mirage Crash

A man who was involved in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Rancho Mirage was arrested on suspicion of DUI, a sheriff's sergeant said in a statement.

About 7:10 a.m. Sept. 22, deputies responded to a crash in the 71000 block of Highway 111, where a 1998 black GMC truck went over the center median of southbound lanes and crashed into a palm tree, said Sgt. Aaron Eller of the Rancho Mirage Station.

The driver, identified as Jose Jimenez, 25,  of Palm Springs, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI and booked into the Indio Jail, Eller said.
